Sanctuary is an ecumenical platform and program that was incubated first at Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver in 2024. Shaughnessy Heights United became involved soon afterwards and the program has now grown to support programs and communities reaching across the province. To date Sanctuary has been a critical component of organizing Drag Communion, Sanctuary Dungeons & Dragons, space for the Rainbow Nomads, queer/sacred connections, and is growing into providing digital support for church workshops and events as it becomes digital platform and outreach program intended to help create and maintain community connections between in-person events.
